The National Academy of Medicine found that burnout had reached “crisis levels” among the U.S. health workforce, with 35-54% of nurses and physicians and 45-60% of medical students and residents reporting symptoms. Burnout, characterized by emotional exhaustion and a low sense of personal accomplishment, is particularly concerning for health workers due to its impact on our health care system and collective health. Addressing burnout requires both individual support and organizational changes. To explore this topic, CEACR convened public health leaders and researchers from Arizona State University School of Social Work, Critica, Inc, and California State University to discuss their experiences and strategies for addressing burnout at the individual and organizational levels. #Burnout #HealthcareWorkforce #Wellbeing
