COURTESY VISIT TO MR. GBADEBO RHODES-VIVOUR (GRV): A STEP TOWARDS A BRIGHTER FUTURE FOR NURSING AND HEALTHCARE IN LAGOS AND BEYOND. On November 14, 2024, our distinguished Nursing Science students also serving under the office of the 28th National Vice President, Chibueze Chikamso Onyinyechi, namely; Victoria Banjo, Executive Adviser on Sustainable Research and Academic Initiative to the VP; Madu Favour and Praise Olawuyi Olawuyi, both Special Representatives to the VP stood in full capacity as representatives of the great NUNSA National, upholding our values with excellence and integrity—paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour (GRV). This engagement was both inspiring and reaffirming, as we discovered that Mr. Gbadebo’s vision aligns closely with ours. From providing a significant number of Lagosians with health micro-insurance cards to organizing medical outreaches in underserved communities, his dedication to healthcare equity and sustainability is truly commendable. The discussion covered critical areas, beginning with the future of the nursing profession and progressing to the upcoming NUNSA National Convention in April. The conversation concluded with a shared commitment to strengthening support for NUNSA’s initiatives. New partnerships were forged, strategic plans were set in motion, and a common ground for collaboration was established. Mr. Gbadebo expressed his enthusiasm for working alongside us, pledging his support for the convention and future NUNSA-led projects. His encouragement and willingness to invest in the advancement of nursing and healthcare are deeply appreciated.
