What unites these individuals—natives, locals, transplants, replants, young and mature, enthusiasts, and entrepreneurs alike? Some have never left, some have returned, some are here by deliberate choice, some as part of an entrepreneurial journey, and for others, it's simply a part of life's journey. We all sense the timing, believing it can happen right here, right now. We're united in our belief that we can rewrite the narrative and envision a brighter future. This all began with an invitation to a Nieux Society member meetup. Tim Williamson and the Nieux Society Team are transforming the Eifel Tower into a positive energy transformation station. Here, positive intentions and purposeful interactions rejuvenate the spirit and challenge members to ponder, "What if it works?" The "what if" question is a powerful tool for the brain. It engages our imagination and stimulates creative thinking. By asking ourselves "what if," we prompt our brains to consider possibilities and scenarios that may not currently exist. This process can lead to the exploration of new ideas, the discovery of innovative solutions, and the ability to think outside the box. Well played, Tim Williamson, well played. What if this region becomes a future energy and technology hub where a diversity of ideas and innovation opens the doors of wealth creation for ALL of our community members?

In 2019, I recognized a pathway to bring healing to broken-hearted New Orleans Saints fans: a second line morning the untimely (and unfair) ending to the Saints season. That pathway became the Blackout and Gold Second Line, held on Super Bowl Sunday in the French Quarter. On that day, 30,000 Saints fans arrived angry and found catharsis. On May 25, I'm producing another event designed to bring catharsis and gratitude with the Spirit of Louisiana Jazz Funeral and Second Line, an authentic jazz funeral in remembrance of those who passed during the pandemic when funerals were restricted, and an opportunity for the public to show gratitude to all the front line pandemic and disaster recovery workers who have been instrumental in our rebirth. Because New Orleans always rises. Please join us Saturday, May 24, 4 pm at City Park Festival Grounds. Free and open to the public. Presented in partnership with New Orleans Tourism and Cultural Fund and supported in part by a Community Partnership Grant from The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and Foundation, Inc. and New Orleans Entertainment Coalition.
