Throwback to last Friday when we wrapped up a 4-part leadership session for a group of employees here at Nielsen. A big thanks to Don Taylor for sharing his expertise and to John Barlow at Blue Ridge Community College - Workforce and Continuing Education for helping us get the sessions arranged. It was time well spent for our team!

For over 100 years, founder Joseph Nielsen and his successors have taken great pride in creating stunning structures. Today we are 100% Employee-Owned. Joseph Nielsen founded J. Clients include schools and universities, hospitals, and long term care facilities. Nielsen is recognized as a leader in the construction industry because of its innovative construction techniques and product development. After nearly 36 years, today marks the start of Tony Biller’s well-earned retirement from Nielsen Builders. Tony began as an estimator, became VP of Business Development, and ultimately led as President & CEO before stepping into the Chairman of the Board role. His leadership guided us through major challenges— like the 2008 recession and the uncertainty of COVID-19 to name a few—always ensuring we kept moving forward. Along the way, he helped make Nielsen 100% employee-owned leaving a lasting impact for all employees. We’ll miss his sense of humor (especially at company picnics!), but we know he’s off to enjoy well-deserved time fishing, working on his home, and tackling new projects. Meet Bradlee! She recently joined our team, bringing experience from both banking and most recently Sullivan Mechanical. She holds an Associate’s degree from Blue Ridge Community College and lives in Elkton with her husband and 5-year-old son. Outside of work, Bradlee is all about the outdoors—hunting, fishing, helping on the farm and spending time with animals, especially her beloved boxer, Harley! We’re so excited to have her on board!
