Meet Bradlee! She recently joined our team, bringing experience from both banking and most recently Sullivan Mechanical. She holds an Associate’s degree from Blue Ridge Community College and lives in Elkton with her husband and 5-year-old son. Outside of work, Bradlee is all about the outdoors—hunting, fishing, helping on the farm and spending time with animals, especially her beloved boxer, Harley! We’re so excited to have her on board! It was such an honor to build the City of Harrisonburg, VA - Government Navigation Center. Now that it's open, my Nielsen Builders, Inc. family returned and partnered with Open Doors, Inc. to serve dinner. Caroline Dickens spread the cheer and served the pasta, Ruth welcomed all and served a hearty helping of peas, and Stephen Howard served the breadsticks and then slayed the dishes. I promise that I helped by serving salad, even if there is no photo proof 🤣 This is a great way to give back, I'm looking forward to doing it again. We’ve officially broken ground in Charlottesville for the new Mountain View Upper Elementary School, part of Albemarle County Public Schools. This project is especially exciting as it provides essential new space while keeping the Mountain View community together. A great deal of thought and collaboration has gone into the planning of this endeavor, with VMDO Architects and the county working closely together. We’re thrilled to be a part of this meaningful project and to help build something that will leave a lasting legacy!

Shouting Congratulations to Matt Hulvey who has been promoted to Director of Estimating. Matt started at Nielsen in 2013 as a Project Manager and then was welcomed into estimating in 2021 as an Estimator. Since then, he has steadily become a crucial member of the estimating team and has played a big role in keeping our bids and proposals competitive. His attention to detail, industry knowledge, and ability to analyze important parts of the construction process is outstanding. In this new role, he will take the lead in continuing to refine our estimating process and help us land even more great projects!
