This award, given to outstanding Brooklyn organizations advancing racial justice and addressing critical challenges in our communities, is a testament to the power of our mission. It celebrates the impact we’ve made so far and propels us forward as we work to ensure every child aged 0-18 in NYC has the opportunity to develop a home library and the myriad benefits that go hand in hand with literacy. The Spark Prize reaffirms the vital role literacy plays in creating equitable opportunities for all. We are humbled to be among the five grantees, and deeply grateful to our supporters, partners, and community for believing in the transformative power of books and literacy.
