The Nicor Gas Energy Efficiency Program, alongside Village of Stockton President Daniel Kunz, celebrated Brewster Cheese's remarkable energy-saving achievements during a special presentation. Since 2019, the family-owned cheese manufacturer in Stockton, Illinois, has saved over 600,000 therms and earned more than $390,000 in incentives through various efficiency improvements. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with Brewster Cheese as they work towards their sustainability goals.

The Nicor Gas Energy Efficiency Program teamed up with the Village of Maywood, Illinois Tollway and CEDA to share critical resources with residents during a special luncheon event. From starting out as a meter reader to spending 26 years as a distribution mechanic, Arc Welder Amy Bohlman’s journey in the natural gas industry has been one of growth and discovery. Nicor Gas is announcing $100,000 in funding for environmental stewardship programs, reinforcing our commitment to protecting the environment. We invest in nonprofits that contribute to clean air, conservation, green space preservation and sustainable activities. As of March 1, 501(c)3 community organizations can apply for these grants at https://bit.ly/4kfqdYO which close on May 31, with funding decisions by July 31.

Nicor Gas participated in the Bloomington Special Olympics Polar Plunge! The team of five brave employees took the plunge and raised $620 for Special Olympics Illinois. As a Warming Tent Sponsor, Nicor Gas supported this incredible event and helped make a difference in the lives of athletes.
