On Wednesday, November 20th, several members of the Nichols College Institute for Women's Leadership, including our Chairs, Board Members, and Student Representatives, had the privilege of attending a productive and inspiring luncheon with Berkshire Bank at Bazzie's here on campus. The event provided an excellent opportunity for educational and inspiring discussions. We are incredibly grateful for Berkshire Bank’s continued support of our mission. On Wednesday October 23rd four of our IWL board members (Madison Minghella, Victoria Symock, Samantha Rogala, and Gabby Case) joined Shirah and Michael Benarde founders of Night Cap for lunch at this Bison Den! During this lunch our board members were able to ask questions about Shirah and Michaels experience on Shark Tank, how their business got started, how we can improve our program, female safety, and much more!! “What a privilege it was to attend a luncheon at the Bison Den with the founders of Night Cap! The event brought together inspiring speakers, successful businesswomen, and entrepreneurs who shared their experiences and insights on leadership, entrepreneurship, and personal growth. The atmosphere was vibrant and empowering, making it a perfect setting for anyone looking to be inspired and motivated in their professional journey. “After today's experience, I am even more proud to be not only a Black woman but also a woman in business. I had the opportunity to listen to these remarkable women discuss how they built their businesses and received valuable advice on starting a business and the resources needed. Yesterday was our first general meeting of the ‘24-‘25 school year. We had a short presentation on what to expect when joining IWL followed by some painting and planting. We were so happy to see how many bison joined us and we can’t wait for future meetings and events! ????

Our first ever welcome week last week was a huge success! It was wonderful meeting so many of our new freshmen and reconnecting with our returning members. We were fortunate to enjoy a week packed with fun activities, networking, and excitement! #womeninbusiness #womenempoweringwomen

Last night's WIN Mentee Kickoff was truly inspiring. We were fortunate to have Susan DiClemente guide us in identifying our core values. The exercise she led was incredibly beneficial, allowing all the women in our program to take a moment to reflect on their personal values. In our fast-paced lives, it was invaluable to have the opportunity to pause, breathe, and focus on our own growth. Thank you to all the mentors who came to our kick off event we look forward to seeing you all throughout this year!!
