The Nicholas Center for Corporate Finance and Investment Banking is a specialization within the full-time MBA program at the Wisconsin School of Business. 1. We believe our specialization creates advantages for students in recruiting by ensuring students clarify their career goals upfront, signal that commitment to employers and learn from accomplished industry practitioners that can quickly accelerate their development. 2. We provide personalized guidance from start to finish from accomplished industry practitioners. This includes one-on-one career, academic and professional guidance unlike other business schools. This tailored approach propels each students to achieve their specific career goals. 3. Our unique, applied curriculum differentiates students in the eyes of employers. Our curriculum includes consulting engagements with Fortune 500 companies. In addition, our students are engaged with industry-defining transactions and trends. 4. Our specialization provides an opportunity for students to join a distinguished network of executives, Board Members and financial professionals. Our Board of Advisors (30+ senior executives) and our Executives-in-Residence spend significant time with students and share their expertise on important topics (e.g., how Boards work, IPOs, etc.). Our large alumni base is passionate and eager to mentor students. 5. We provide an excellent return on investment for students - our program is low cost relative to the value provided. Our low cost derives from low tuition rates, scholarship opportunities and our location (beautiful and low-cost Madison!). We have excellent job placement rates for students and large increases in salaries for our students.

Clare Sullivan is a first-year CFIB MBA student at the Wisconsin School of Business, pursuing investment banking. Clare received her B.S.M. degree in Marketing and Management from Tulane University in Louisiana, where she was Captain and Treasurer of the Women's Rugby team. Prior to joining the MBA program, Clare worked in Taxable Fixed Income sales at Cabrera Capital Markets in Chicago, IL. This week on our Nicholas Center blog, we feature Andrew Sternaman, one of our Wisconsin School of Business Class of 2026 MBA students, specializing in Corporate Finance & Investment Banking. Andrew is pursuing summer internship opportunities and is drawn to M&A, investment banking, private equity, and venture capital roles. Andrew brings over five years of diverse experience within startups, software, and digital transformation. Prior to joining the program, Andrew founded his own firm focused on helping small-to-medium sized businesses automate their financial and operational processes. Keith Weikel Leadership Speaker Series this evening where they had the opportunity to hear Alice Ferris, CFRE, ACFRE present on The Purpose-Driven Path: Insights for Aspiring Entrepreneurs. Alice's talk was inspiring and left us all reflecting on how we can find our purpose through aligning our passions, talents, and values within our careers.
