Local research is helping inform solutions for outdoor workers and other communities in North Carolina vulnerable to extreme heat, Duke University expert Jordan Clark, PhD told North Carolina Public Radio-WUNC. But a vital first step to protect workers is taking heat seriously, he said. https://lnkd.in/eVzVa8n8 Clark, a senior policy associate at the Heat Policy Innovation Hub, spoke to WUNC as part of its Scorched Workers series that aired this week.
