Time is running out to register for the 2025 Niagara County Agribusiness Forum!?The event will be held on Friday, March 14 from 9:00 a.m. until 2:45 p.m. at the Cornell Cooperative Extension Training Center, 4487 Lake Avenue in Lockport.?This is a free event, but attendees must register at?https://lnkd.in/gZTU47zs. “We are again excited to host the Agribusiness Outreach Forum, which is not only an opportunity to cover a host of important topics related to agriculture, but to also highlight and celebrate one of the most important sectors of the Niagara County economy,” said Michael Casale, Niagara County Commissioner for Economic Development.??“As the event has grown over the last six years, we expect nearly 150 people will join us to hear from leaders across the agribusiness community.” During this event, participants will hear from industry experts on a variety of topics including:?From Application to Action - Recruiting and Retaining H2A Workers; Rooted in Success - Building Your Agribusiness through Marketing & Networking; Harvesting Funding - Mastering the Art of Finding, Writing, & Being Awarded Ag Grants.?The keynote speaker is Andy Turner, Director of Cornell Cooperative Extension, who give a talk on “From Application to Action, Understanding State and Federal Policies for CCE.” The event will also include networking opportunities, tours of the Niagara County CCE Veggie Van and Oak Orchard Health Mobile Health Unit, and tables set aside to learn more about the latest grants, incentives and resources available with information from nearly two dozen organizations the Niagara County Center for Economic Development, Cornell Cooperative Extension of Niagara County, Niagara Small Business Development Center, the Farm Bureau, and the Niagara USA Chamber, among others.?Complimentary lunch will be provided by Beans' Smokehouse. “Agribusiness is such an important part of the Niagara County economy, yet it continues to be under tremendous stress, as we have lost more than 60 farms and nearly 19,000 acres of farmland in the last five years.” said Niagara County Legislator Mike Hill, whose district is home to numerous farms and agribusinesses.??“This forum is a way to bring in all stakeholders to share information, talk about available assistance and join together in support of our agriculture industry.”
