Spotlight on NIA Fellows in The Innovation Ecosystem Programme ?? The newly released?NHS Review?(Foreword by Roland Sinker, CBE) summarises the findings of the?Innovation Ecosystem Programme (IEP)?over the last 18 months. It highlights a clear, collaborative path towards building an innovation ecosystem that can transform health and care in the UK while supporting economic growth. The review serves as a vital contribution to the forthcoming 10-Year Health Plan, Innovation and Adoption Strategy, and Life Sciences Sector Plan. We’re delighted to see?three NIA fellows?featured in this important report, showcasing how their innovations are already making a difference: ?? Holly Health?– A digital health coach that empowers individuals to develop sustainable, healthy habits for better long-term outcomes. By focusing on preventative care, Holly Health is reducing pressure on NHS services and improving patient wellbeing. ?? getUBetter?– A digital self-management tool for musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions. By offering tailored recovery pathways, getUBetter supports patients through every step of their recovery, freeing up clinician time and improving outcomes. ?? Isla Health | B Corp??– A secure platform for remote image and video sharing, enabling better tracking and monitoring of conditions. Isla reduces the need for unnecessary appointments, improving efficiency and care quality across the NHS. The report emphasises that while these recommendations and actions are vital, it is the collaborative effort behind them that will truly drive change. Together, we can align activities across quality improvement, clinical research, and innovation to deliver significant benefits for patients and economic growth. 关于我们
The NHS Innovation Accelerator (NIA) is an NHS England Initiative delivered in partnership with the country’s 15 Health Innovation Networks (HINs) and the Accelerated Access Collaborative. Hosted by UCLPartners, it supports delivery of the Five Year Forward View by accelerating uptake of high impact innovations for patient, population and NHS staff benefit, and providing real time practical insights on spread to inform national strategy. Fellows supported by the NIA all share a set of values and passion for scaling evidence-based innovation to benefit a wider population, with a commitment to share their learnings. Some impressive results have been achieved by Fellows since the NIA launched in July 2015: 2,980 additional NHS sites now using NIA innovations; £203 million in external funds secured; 193 awards won; 1,145 jobs created; and 57 innovations selling internationally. In addition, impact data is already available at adopter sites and this demonstrates earlier intervention, reductions in complications and emergency admissions, alongside cost savings.
