3/20/25 Locally dense fog early today. Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for portions of NH. For northern streams with lingering ice, some potential for ice jams is still present. A storm brings mostly rain tonight into Friday, some snow in the mountains. #ReadyNH #NHwx #BeSafe

3-19-25: Dry and mild through Thursday. Minor river flooding has been forecasted at points in New Hampshire. Fog returns this evening and tonight. There could be some areas of dense fog into early Thursday.

Ice jams can build up and block river flow, leading to floods. In addition, when the ice breaks up, it can lead to a large rush of water (and large chunks of ice) going downstream.
