It's time to spring forward! As Daylight Saving Time begins this weekend, we want to remind everyone to take a few simple steps to keep New Hampshire residents, visitors, and communities safe. ? Set Your Clocks Ahead: Remember to set your clocks forward one hour this Sunday, March 9, at 2 a.m. This means you'll get an extra hour of daylight in the evening, so don't forget to adjust any outdoor lighting timers, too! ?? Drive Safely: With more daylight on the roads, please be extra cautious when driving. The shift in time can affect sleep schedules and alertness, so remember to stay focused behind the wheel, especially in the early morning hours when it might still feel like it's nighttime. ?? Check Your Smoke Alarms & Emergency Kits: The beginning and end of Daylight Saving Time are good opportunities to test smoke detectors and replace batteries. It’s also a good time to review emergency preparedness plans and ensure that emergency kits are stocked and ready. ?? More Daylight, More Activity: Enjoy the extra daylight! Whether you're spending time in New Hampshire's beautiful outdoors with your family or engaging in community activities, remember to practice safety first. As always, our team will be continuing to work hard to keep New Hampshire one of the safest states in the Nation. #DaylightSavingTime #SpringForward #TeamSafetyNH
