?? We are now getting close to the end of the European project NGI Enrichers and it is time to officially announce our final event ! ? On June 24th and 25th 2025, NGI Enrichers will have its final conference at the event #AIHorizon25 taking place in Davos, Switzerland, empowering the Next Generation of Internet Researchers, Innovators and Industry Leaders. ?? As artificial intelligence (AI) continues to advance, its influence on the scientific community becomes increasingly profound. This conference will critically explore the transformative and disruptive impact of AI on the scientific enterprise, from reshaping research methodologies to altering the trajectory of how talented scientists and innovators manage their careers. Attendees will engage with experts across disciplines and industries to discuss how AI tools are revolutionizing data analysis, automating routine tasks, and enabling new discoveries. The sessions will focus on the opportunities AI presents for accelerating innovation, as well as the challenges it brings in terms of ethical considerations, skills development, and career evolution. There will be four parallel sessions: -Technology: The technology behind AI tools and its adoption by scientists and innovators. -Health: Preventing mental and physical disorders of AI users in the scientific enterprise and beyond. -Science and Society: The European dimension, scientific integrity and methodological rigor. -Startups: Secure entrepreneurial freedom, creativity and innovative power in Europe. ?? Happy to share the results of the 2nd Award Ceremony for NGI Enrichers programme, which we held this Wednesday. 29 fellows, researches and innovators, pitched their projects after completion of their fellowships in the US and Canada. Great pitches of all fellows, and great winners, who will be able to attend the final event in Davos in June 2025. Congratulations!

We are thrilled to share some inspiring news about our exceptional fellows from the NGI Enrichers program and the second Award Ceremony! ???? After completing their fellowships in the United States and Canada, 29 fellows pitched a jury from academia and the business world showcasing how cross-Atlantic collaborations can foster more human centric outcomes and generate faster results. ?? NGI projects end use of X ?? ?? NGI Enrichers will focus on LinkedIn and Mastodon social media platforms. The Next Generation Internet (NGI) initiative projects announced their decision to discontinue the use of X social media platform, effective immediately. This strategic move aligns with NGI’s commitment to fostering an Internet that embodies European values of trust, security, and inclusion. The NGI initiative, launched by the European Commission, aims to shape the development of the Internet into an “Internet of Humans” that responds to people’s fundamental needs and reflects the values and norms enjoyed in Europe. Recent evaluations have raised concerns about X’s alignment with these principles, particularly regarding data privacy, user autonomy, and the spread of misinformation. In response, NGI projects have chosen to redirect their focus toward platforms and communication channels that prioritize user-centric design, transparency, and ethical standards. NGI projects will continue to engage with their communities through channels that uphold these values, such as Mastodon and Peertube both powered by the open standard for decentralised social networking ActivityPub, ensuring stakeholders remain informed and actively involved in shaping a more human-centric Internet.
