Why deep tech, why now? * U.S. deep tech investments hit record levels of $14 billion in 2024 -- 85% higher than 2020 * The technological revolution is accelerating: AI startup valuations maintain 2-3x premiums over traditional tech * Industrial robotics, quantum computing, and in-space propulsion are all poised for breakthrough years But here's the disconnect: While 50% of deep tech founders on the XB100 list have PhDs, transformative innovation shouldn't require decades of specialized education.
