We had a fantastic time at the 2024 MS #ACTE Summer Conference in #Biloxi! This event, held at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum and Convention Center, brought together #teachers, directors, and counselors for three days of learning and networking. Conferences like this are key events for career and technical educators in #Mississippi. They offer a chance to learn the latest teaching methods, hear from inspiring speakers, and visit industry sites. This helps us stay up-to-date and bring the best STEAM/CTE education to our students. Our team member, Shandy Porter, shared his thoughts: "It was a pleasure to meet the members of MS ACTE and I look forward to following up on the many wonderful connections I made working with NextWaveSTEM and returning to Mississippi. Grants can be a game-changer for schools aiming to expand their STEAM/CTE offerings. The Office of Science, Innovation and Technology (#OSIT) STEM Network Grant is an excellent opportunity for schools in Nevada to access up to $50,000 in funding. And #NextWaveSTEM is committed to supporting schools in both securing these #grants and delivering top-notch STEAM/CTE programs. Schools like Walker Elementary School, McCaw STEAM Academy, Garrett Middle School, and Cynthia Cunningham Elementary School are shining examples of what can be achieved with the right funding.
