Report ranking highlights include: Meta has the most #solar installed with 5.2 GWs Google has the most #storage capacity with 936 MWhs Amazon has a nation-leading 13.6 GWs of new solar procurements under contract Most companies surveyed in the report listed the Inflation Reduction Act’s clean energy incentives as a big reason for going solar, sending a clear message: American businesses are focused on driving down electricity costs and solar is a favored solution time and time again. As we begin construction on Eastern Utah’s Green River Energy Center’s 800 MW solar + storage system, the largest planned solar plus storage facility in the state, we are also taking steps to fortify a smarter energy future for the local communities. In keeping with our long history of education-focused efforts, we are teaming up with rPlus Energies and all our incredible site partners on two new scholarship fund programs, offering a total of $375,000 for students in Utah’s Emery County and Carbon County areas: ?? The Local First Scholarship is designated for students who plan to remain in the area after completing a degree or certificate from Utah State University Eastern (USUE) ?? The Energy First Scholarship is tailored for students in energy-related fields, such as Welding, Wildlife Ecology, Electrician Certification, and Heavy Machinery Operations. ?? Both scholarships will grant up to $5K for qualifying students – who must be be admitted to USUE – and students may reapply each year. We are excited to continue our mission of inspiring the young minds of today through our hard work and real-world results and set them on a path to career success. A Busy Week for Nextracker at REI 2024 ???? + Center for Solar Excellence Inauguration We enjoyed connecting with everyone at Asia’s largest B2B solar event of the year! Our team showcased Nextracker’s innovative smart solar tracker solutions designed to tackle the toughest challenges EPCs and solar developers face — including corrosion, uneven terrain and more. With over 40 utility-scale projects and 10 GW of annual production capacity in India, Nextracker remains committed to advancing the clean energy mission across the region. As part of that commitment, we inaugurated the Center for Solar Excellence (CFSE) in Hyderabad, India last week! This state-of-the-art facility spans 13 acres and is set to be a game-changer for solar technology in the region. It will support solar tracker research, development, training, and testing to accelerate India’s transition to renewable energy. And with the PowerworX Academy, we’ll be providing hands-on training to EPCs and installers on best practices for installing and maintaining solar tracker systems. Key highlights of the CFSE: - A 30,000 square foot advnced training and R&D facility. - Comprehensive support for the entire project lifecycle, from structural to electrical design, and beyond. - Collaboration with local suppliers, partners, and customers to develop and commercialize innovative Nextracker technology.
