NextMed Health 2023 was held in San Diego at the iconic Hotel del Coronado with over 70 world-class faculty with 400+ selected innovators, startups and leading organizations from across the health, biomedical and technology world. From MainStage talks given in the historic Hotel del Coronado to our hands-on Innovation Lab to beachside morning yoga, dinners and beachside bonfires - NextMed Health isn't your usual medical conference. Its a community, platform, and ecosystem to catalyze new insights, connections, healthcare innovation, improved access, equity, and outcomes for all.

BREAKING?News: Our beloved 136-year-old iconic hotel is undergoing emergency surgery?? requiring?NextMed Health?to move to March 30-April 2, 2025. Since 2013, we’ve held NextMed Health at the historic Hotel del Coronado—a magical venue on Coronado Island’s beach in San Diego. Last week, hotel management informed us that in the process of completing their $500M renovation, they discovered structural issues in some of the core wooden elements of the Ocean Ballroom requiring emergency repairs (which began last week) meaning that our core ballroom and some other key meeting spaces won’t be available during our originally planned dates in December 2024. Given the unexpected news,?in-depth?discussions with Hotel del Coronado’s management,?and the central role these spaces play in the NextMed Health experience, we've made the difficult decision to move NextMed Health from December 10-13, 2024 to?March 30–April 2, 2025.?Details here: NextMed.Health/date-change We appreciate your support and understanding and hope you’ll join us this Spring at #NextMedHealth for three and a half days with a remarkable faculty and a global, cross-disciplinary community. ‘Find your voice and don’t stay within the lines’. That was a key leadership insight shared by Cathy Harrison at the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme pit stop in Belfast last night. Our clinical entrepreneurs often start the programme with imposter syndrome, but if they if they are to transform patient care through innovation they have to find their voice and be prepared to go outside of the lines of custom and practice. Aliya Bhatia's and Alister Martin's talks at NextMed Health 2023, and their work on Vot-ER were eye opening, and an inspiring call to action for healthcare providers to help patients vote like their health depends on it to help create a healthier democracy. When patients don't vote, campaigns are less likely to address their needs resulting in negative health impacts. #democracy #voting #healthequity #healthpolicy

We often think of voting as a right — which it is, and it is a right that every eligible citizen should exercise this November.
