Hello Everyone! We hold a 2x monthly Zoom meeting to build the cohesiveness of this group of fundraisers. We build trust in this network. This will be a place that you're able to unload, feel comfortable, share your ideas, challenges you're facing in fundraising/with donors, fundraising plans you're putting together, and more. Each of you will be the focus of the call. We will have presenter once a month, and it will be an open forum for the second meeting of the month. Otherwise, this group is by us, and for us.

  • This is the incoming email you will receive... Hi Everyone, ??We would like to create an executive board for the Next Gen Fundraising Network. Please see the list of opportunities. Email me the exact role you’re interested in. None of these roles will be alone. We want each individual to feel supported and collaborative with the whole board. We will create a Slack or GroupMe for this. ??Roles ??Communications/Conference Chair 2x -Ensuring that member contact information is up-to-date, that members are receiving our communication, our LinkedIn group is engaging, job changes are shared and celebrated with the group, helping connect members with each other -Help Vice-Chair with Summer conference planning ??Member Engagement Chair 2x (Immediate Need) -Ensure that members are engaging with the group, attending calls, and participating in offerings that they sign-up for. ??New Member Acquisition Chair 3x -Help obtain recommendations/referrals from current members, search for new members on LinkedIn and through your network. ??New Speaker Acquisition Chair 2x -We are looking to have a speaker scheduled once-a-month. The other mtg will be “open”. This role should be planning speakers 2 months in advance. ??Mentor Recruitment Chair 2x -This role should be recruiting executive leaders in nonprofit fundraising (Assistant VP, Associate VP, VP, Executive Director, High Level Executive Search Consultant) to join our mentoring team. These mentors will be assigned to 1-3 fundraisers in our network who would like coaching and mentoring. ??We are also asking the following questions… ?Are members open to consulting/contract work? ?Should we add alumni relations professionals to our network? ?Would you attend a Summer conference for Next Gen Fundraising Network? ??We will be sending out a survey in the latter half of August to help us collect data for member recruiting purposes. Please see some sample questions below. ??# of members attending speakers (%) ??# of members attending open meetings (%) ??# of jobs posted annually ??% of members who say the group aids their job satisfaction? ??% of members who use the network (in general) ??Has the network helped you hit fundraising goals? ??How far (years) do you feel from executive roles? (3-5, 5-7, 7-10) ??Other Your feedback, support, questions, or other thoughts are appreciated.

  • Hi All, As you've probably seen, we are implementation some changes with Next Gen. We now have an executive board, we're reaching out to current and prospective members, individuals from alumni relations and annual giving, prospective speakers, refining our communications, and working to ensure there isn't just one voice. We are moving our communications to Slack because we believe the streamlining of communication will help better the experience for each of you. We will send out meeting reminders, communications, and more on Slack, utilizing our LinkedIn more, and shifting our meeting medium to Google Meet or Teams.
