Thank you to the The Aspen Institute / Aspen Security Forum | Aspen Strategy Group for hosting our cohort of Rising Leaders last week. We spent a great couple days building relationships with each other, reflecting on leadership in the national security and foreign policy fields, and hearing from incredible leaders in the space - Singapore's Ambassador to the US Lui Tuck Yew, President of the Aspen Institute Dan Porterfield, and former National Security Advisor Tom Donilon. I knew from their resumes my cohort was filled with impressive individuals, but after getting to know them over the course of a few days, I was awestruck much less by the credentials and much more by the group's collective genuineness, intentionality, and sheer coolness - for lack of a better term.
