Twelve years ago, I took a leap of faith—one that changed my life in ways I never could have imagined. At the time, I was a single mom, doing everything I could to support two young children, one of whom had severe medical needs. Life was hard, and I needed more than just a job—I needed stability, growth, and a place where I could make an impact. From the moment I joined Nextep, I knew I had found something special. Over the years, Nextep has given me opportunity, support, and a true sense of belonging. When my daughter was struggling with seizures and mental health challenges, my team and leadership stood by me, allowing me to integrate my work and life in a way that made it possible to care for her while still growing in my career. That kind of support is rare, and I will never take it for granted. Nextep didn’t just give me a job—it gave me a career. After four years as a Business Consultant, I was promoted to Regional Sales Manager, and now, eight years later, I’ve had the privilege of coaching, mentoring, and seeing so many incredible people grow into leadership roles. But the impact goes beyond my career. Along the way, I met my husband—someone who has brought warmth, love, and a new depth of happiness into my life. I know with absolute certainty that without Nextep, my life wouldn’t be as full as it is today. (IYKYK ??) Today, our daughter is living her best life, and our son is about to graduate from OSU and working for my husband's company on the dev team. And I wake up every day grateful for a company that has not only supported my family but has given me the opportunity to give back—to my team, my clients, and my community.
