Nextdoor has recently partnered with HEALTH@WPP to explore the vital roles of community and the emotional and practical challenges impacting those battling cancer as well as those of their caregivers. ?? Our study with HEALTH@WPP highlights the positive role of community support for cancer patients and caregivers, and the best ways to offer help to those around them. ?? Key Findings: Value of Community: Community help reduces stress (36%), fear (30%), and isolation (25%). Hopefulness doubles with support. Barriers: 59% are uncomfortable asking for help. Desired Tangible Support: The most desired forms of support include someone to talk to (50%), assistance with chores (41%), help with meals (38%), rides to medical appointments (25%), and childcare (17%).
