Direct Hire Opportunity! *Experienced Project Surveyor* Salary Range: $32 per hour to $55 per hour Key Responsibilities: Survey Assignments:?Execute surveying tasks using computer software to draft and document deliverables in line with company and industry standards. Survey Computations:?Prepare complex survey computations and ensure work products are accurate and complete. Timely Delivery:?Complete assigned tasks on or ahead of schedule, understanding how each activity relates to the overall project status. Construction Staking:?Perform construction staking calculations and prepare cut sheets for field crews. Work Analysis:?Analyze and review the work of survey crews and reduce field data to coordinate geometry. Data Collection:?Understand field codes and stringing for field-to-office data collection. Design Interpretation:?Interpret design plans for construction staking calculations and coordinate with engineering staff to ensure proper interpretation. Tolerance and Accuracy:?Understand project-specific tolerances and accuracy requirements. Filing Systems:?Maintain computer and hard copy filing systems. Legal Analysis:?Analyze title reports and legal descriptions, perform necessary map and deed research, and assist in boundary analysis. Map Preparation:?Prepare plats, legal descriptions, record boundary and easement maps, Tentative Maps, Parcel Maps, Final Maps, Records of Survey, and ALTA Maps. Collaboration:?Work closely with the Director of Surveying, Project Managers, Engineers, and Designers to obtain project information and ensure drawings are accurate and complete. Easement Identification:?Collaborate with the engineering department to identify proposed easements. Quality Review:?Review all work for completeness and accuracy before submission for supervisor review and use the Burrell checklist to ensure quality and completeness. Standard Maintenance:?Assist in setting up and maintaining Survey Standards, ensuring consistent layers, line types, file names, and directories. Productivity:?Identify, recommend, and practice ways to improve productivity and efficiency. Time Management:?Provide accurate accounts of time spent on projects with detailed descriptions for each time entry. Work Area Maintenance:?Maintain a neat and orderly work area for accessible project information to other team members. Additional Duties:?Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Proven experience in surveying, including performing complex survey computations and construction staking calculations. Proficiency in computer-aided drafting and documentation. Strong understanding of field codes, stringing, and data collection processes. Ability to interpret design plans and collaborate with engineering staff. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
