Today, we are celebrating Kathleen C.. ?? Happy 4 Years at NEXT in Nonprofits (NiN)! You'll often find Kathleen solving problems and getting even better outcomes for her clients and her team! She loves learning and sharing what she knows so the team grows together. Her co-workers especially appreciate her "servant leadership" style, where she is always ready to "jump in the fire" and prioritize clients' and colleagues' needs. Kathleen is logical, empathic, a 'get-it-done-r', creative, funny, connective. She likes to tackle big problems and invites others to join her on the journey! Thank you, Kathleen, for your service and hard work at NiN. ?? ??#EmployeeAppreciation [Image description: yellow and orange gradient background; foreground features a smiling person with glasses and medium-long brown hair and a yellow dress; play button animates confetti falling; text reads "Happy Cake Day! This is great advice! Far too often have we been working with a client on a deadline and review that grant attachment folder only to find outdated info.
New year...new grant attachments! Not much of a ring to it, we know. But you'll be ready to submit your first grants of 2025 by making sure you have the latest versions of: ? Current Year Annual Organizational Budget ? Program Budgets ? 2024 Fiscal Year-End Financials: Balance Sheet and Income and Expense (compared to budget) ? Audited Financials/Recent 990 ? W-9 ? Key Staff List ? Previous year/current year funder list: Be as accurate as you can but know you won’t be tested on it! This should list both philanthropic and corporate sources so that any prospective funder can see how they fit into your funder list. A final tip: Create a form that includes current staff and board demographics and summarizes last year’s participant demographics. Unless there are major board and staff changes, you can build this once and use it all year.
