As we conclude the NEF SDGs Week highlights in #Cameroon and Central Africa, we express our sincere gratitude to Prof. Mama Foupouagnigni, President of AIMS Cameroon and Chief Academic Officer of AIMS Network, for his leadership in mobilizing his team and key stakeholders within the education, training, and innovation ecosystem in Cameroon for an impactful full-day event at AIMS Cameroon. As part of the event, AIMS Cameroon hosted a workshop on the role of universities and STEM education in advancing SDGs. The event brought together a diverse group of over 100 participants, including women, youth-led organizations, people with disabilities, entrepreneurs, and academics. Key speakers, including esteemed professors, delivered inspiring talks on the impact of research and leadership in driving innovation, sustainable resource use, and global partnerships toward achieving the SDGs. The workshop also featured a youth innovation showcase, highlighting an electric wheelchair with a solar charging system designed to provide affordable and efficient mobility solutions for physically challenged students and parents.
