From our Next Door family to yours, we're wishing everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving! ???
关于我们
Founded in 1969, Next Door is an award-winning, birth-to-five early learning school based in Milwaukee’s Central City. We focus on the first five years of life because that is when a child’s brain development is most active and when we can have the greatest impact on a child’s future success. Our ultimate goal is to get our students ready for school and ready for life! We offer families full and half-day center-based programming as well as a home-based option. All of our programs provide access to health and dental care, as well as special education and mental health services. Knowing that parents are a child’s first teacher, Next Door offers a number of supportive services for moms and dads. They include: prenatal services, adult education and a fatherhood program. We also have a team of Family Advocates, who work closely with parents to make sure the family has what they need to succeed. Our reach goes even further into the community by leading a partnership program with ten early childhood organizations in Milwaukee County. Next Door staff offers teacher coaching and training on curriculum assessment at each of the partner locations. By working together, we can increase access to safe and high-quality infant and toddler care. Between our own sites and the partner agencies, Next Door currently serves more than 2,000 children and their families. Next Door offers a host of giving and volunteer opportunities throughout the year to support our children and families. 16 years ago, Meg Fox wanted to help make a positive impact on our community. Lucky for us, she followed her lifelong passion for reading all the way to Next Door. Meg started her volunteer journey as a Read with Me regular and has since transitioned into the classroom, doing everything she can to help ease the workload of our teachers . Thank you, Meg, for your unwavering dedication to our students and our community. Your support is greatly valued, and we couldn't do this work without people like you! Are you ready to make a lasting impact on our community like Meg? Contact Missy at [email protected] or visit our website for more information.

NEXT DOOR PICTURE OF THE WEEK Books on the Go! The Next Door Mobile Library paid a visit to our CCP site COA Burke last week. Each student was able to select 3 free books to take home and add to their personal library. It was wonderful to see the students' excitement as they browsed the shelves and chose their new reads. Next Door has nine Child Care Partnership sites where our instructional coaches and family advocates work with site staff to improve the educational quality and experience for the site's children and families.
