Love at First Bite ???? In the food industry, we often judge products by their appearance. But what if we looked beyond shape and size? This heart-shaped tomato is the perfect reminder that the true value of food isn’t in its perfection, but in its taste, quality, and the impact it can have on our communities. Every year, tons of perfectly edible fruits and vegetables go to waste simply because they don’t meet market beauty standards. At Next Cycle Foods, we’re changing that perception—connecting people with high-quality food, no matter its shape. Because food doesn’t have to be perfect to be delicious ?? #FoodWaste #ZeroWaste #Valentine’s #ImperfectFruits #Agriculture

Two days ago, I stood on a stage that felt like the starting line of a marathon I had been training for my entire life. As co-founder of Next Cycle Foods, I shared not just the metrics of growth, but the stories, the struggles, and the triumphs of our mission to tackle food waste and insecurity in Puerto Rico ????. Our presence at Parallel18's Demo Day was a testament to the power of collective effort. To be one among the innovative Puerto Rican companies, especially as a women-owned business, to complete this rigorous 12-week mentorship program was an honor. We are proud not only to represent the entrepreneurial vitality of our island but also to contribute to its economic growth and sustainable future. With 42% of the participating companies featuring female entrepreneurs, it's a powerful reminder of the diversity and potential that thrives within our community. Next Cycle Foods stands as proof that commitment, innovation, and community can drive change. A massive thank you to Parallel18, the Puerto Rico Science, Technology & Research Trust , my cohort peers, and all the mentors and supporters who believe in empowering entrepreneurs. This coverage is not just news; it’s a narrative of hard work, dedication, and a vision for a more sustainable future that we’re crafting day by day. Here’s to the milestones we’ve reached and the many more to come as we continue to drive meaningful change - together. To the future, to growth, and to the positive impact we will continue to make - together.
