https://lnkd.in/ebgX2mh The month of March celebrates worldwide Women History Month. “Before women had the whole month, the U.S. recognized Women’s History Week; before that, a single International Women’s Day….at the time of the conception of Women’s History Week, activists saw the designation as a way to revise a written and social American history that had largely ignored women’s contributions. The celebratory month has its roots in the socialist and labor movements — the first Women’s Day took place on Feb. 28, 1909, in New York City.”

If you want to use Fun as a tool, then here’s what to do... Fun can boost our resilience that makes it easier for us to cope with life. ? ?? Rethink how you think about fun.?It is not a “treat” – it is a tool that we can tap into to help ourselves weather the challenges that life may present. Even in difficult times, says Catherine Price, author of The Power of Fun: How to Feel Alive Again, fun should be a priority, not an afterthought. Why? ?? Fun helps us shift away from any tendency to focus on the negative and begin to appreciate the positive aspects of life ?? Certain forms of humor, like play, rely on generating novel combinations of thoughts and the consequences can be highly?creative.? I’m not fooling around here.?Research by Patrick Bateson published in a scientific journal supports these findings.?He found that play is effective in breaking away from established patterns and combining actions or thoughts in new ways. This form of creativity allows you to perceive new relations between thoughts, or things, or forms of expression. Playful people tap into their creativity to combine ideas into new forms, connecting the seemingly unconnected.? George Bernard Shaw’s advice: “We don’t stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing.”? ? ? What fun will you have this weekend? ?What will you play at? #ChicagoCEO #CEOs #FunnyFriday #Creativity
