A few weeks ago, there were two conferences in Denver for people who feel misunderstood. One was for people who believe aliens live amongst us. Nexus Labs is proud to announce our latest partner in our mission to accelerate the #smartbuildings industry -- Arcadia Arcadia provides collection and centralization of utility bill information for building owners, vendors of other software platforms, and consultants. Arcadia’s Plug product captures monthly utility bill data and interval data directly from any utility bill. They also offer Signal, a universal library of all utility tariffs across the United States to help customers understand how their providers are charging them. Signal includes a rate calculation engine, which can be used to help understand what building upgrades and retrofits can do to utility cost and help prove out the performance of completed energy conservation projects. Everything that Arcadia offers in their platform is also available via API to other platforms, allowing other vendors to embed utility data into the platforms that they sell using Arcadia in the back end. With the release of the Nexus Marketplace, we thought we'd answer a few of the most common questions about the #smartbuildings industry's first platform dedicated to navigating the smart building vendor swamp. ?? Who is The Nexus Marketplace for? This marketplace was designed to support buyers and buyers consultants of #commercialrealestate smart building technology. Regardless of the building-type you manage, our platform is a safe, sales-free place to help you find the best fit vendor for your unique needs, in the least amount of time. ?? How is data within the marketplace validated? The Nexus Labs team of professional engineers reviews vendor demos, case studies, and buyer reviews to confirm the features & capabilities of a particular product, and what category the solution fits within. ??? Where does the data come from? The Nexus Labs community crowdsourced the information within this marketplace. Our users continue to grow our database by sharing their insights and expertise in exchange for access to the platform. We recently performed one of our free vendor selection services for a pair of property development companies looking for the latest in the access controls category for multifamily properties. With the support of Lee Odess, we created an RFI to help the buyers “kick the tires” of what was possible in access control today.
