Indianapolis,?December?03, 2024?–?New Shoe Day received a $27,500 grant from Glick Philanthropies?to further their mission of providing shoes to youth in need to empower them to thrive. Glick Philanthropies – a family of charitable initiatives dedicated to building community and creating opportunity that empowers every person to reach their full potential – recently announced more than $1.86 million in grants to 40 nonprofit organizations. New Shoe Day believes in shoes as a foundational need for youth to thrive – by allowing them to be active, participate in afterschool and extracurricular activities, and lead a fulfilling life. Across the state of Indiana, there are thousands of youth wearing shoes too worn, the wrong size, and in some cases no shoes at all – and New Shoe Day exists to fill that need. With the help of the Glick Philanthropies grant, New Shoe Day will expand its community partnerships allowing them to reach and impact more youth across Indiana. “We are deeply thankful to Glick Philanthropies for their partnership and support,” said Casey Crouse, CEO and Co-Founder of New Shoe Day. “This grant reinforces the critical role that a simple, well-fitting pair of shoes plays in the lives of young people.
