The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) just announced the new limit for mortgage loans. The limit is set at $806,500 in 2025, which is an increase of 5.2% from 2024. Additionally, the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) announced that the new baseline limit on a high-cost loan will be $1,209,750 for a one-unit dwelling. The new limits apply in most counties for one-unit properties, but not all, based on local median income. For areas in which 115 percent of the local median home value exceeds the baseline conforming loan limit value, the applicable loan limit will be higher than the baseline loan limit.

Yesterday, as we honored the sacrifices our Veterans have made to protect our safety and freedom, I wanted to share how Newrez Wholesale has been working year-round to support the mortgage broker community and real estate professionals in better serving Veterans.?Through our efforts, we aim to help more veterans achieve homeownership, secure lower rates, or improve their financial outlook through cash out loans utilizing their VA Entitlement. Did you know that less than 20% of eligible Veterans use their VA home loan benefits??According to Va.gov, the top three reasons for this underutilization are: 1. Lack of awareness about the VA program's advantages 2. Misconceptions that the process is too complicated 3. Lenders limited knowledge about the program Last week, Newrez Wholesale continued our VA Training Bootcamp in Alaska, holding sessions in both Anchorage and Fairbanks.?So far, we have held bootcamps in Colorado Springs, Phoenix, San Diego, Virgina Beach, Detroit and most recently across Texas in Dallas, San Antonio, and Houston.?Our goal is to educate not only the mortgage broker community but also realtors, who often serve as the first point of contact for buyers and sellers, and may not have an understanding about the VA process. A few words to describe today? EPIC. INSPIRING. PROUD. Newrez LLC Fort Washington Community Council launched our monthly Walk for a Cause initiative and hosted a #RezTrot to raise money for 3 local food pantries. We had a goal to raise $2,000 and surpassed our goal! Over 200 employees took a break from their work day to walk in unity against hunger. No one is going hungry on our watch!
