Last week, Maj Tom Dransfield and Dr. David Rayburn discussed with Rob Lawrence the significance of New Orleans EMS' pre-hospital blood administration. Over the last three years we have found that pre-hospital blood administration is giving the residents and visitors of New Orleans the best fighting chance at surviving mass hemorrhage. If you want to hear more, take a listen! Thank you EMS1 and Rob Lawrence for featuring us on this episode of EMS One Stop Poscast and we look forward working with y'all on future episodes!

?? Did you know that New Orleans EMS started our pre-hospital blood program three years ago tomorrow?! In three years we have made so much progress. We have: ??Given blood to almost 300 people. ??Reduced the odds mortality for residents and visitors of New Orleans. ?? Helped publish 3 studies proving we are saving lives with this program. ?? Continued to reaffirm our position in being leading prehospital trauma care experts. ?? Helped guide numerous other agencies in implementing their own blood program. None of this, however, would be possible without the amazing partnerships we have with our Trauma Center, The Blood Center but most importantly OUR BLOOD DONORS!! Thank you for your selfless acts in donating blood, "so that others may live." New Orleans EMS is excited to host The Blood Center bloodmobile at headquarters November 7th to celebrate our third anniversary for administering prehospital blood. Please join us, walk-ins are always welcomed or register at tbcdonors.org Thank you for helping save lives!
