Meet Daina Tague, LCSW, a member of OCEBHA's Leadership Academy! As a Senior Project Director at New Narrative, Daina focuses on the pilot of the Strategic Healthcare Initiative for Transformation (SHIFT) Program to outpatient clinics. “I work as a part of an integrated team to support those that provide and access services out of our clinics,” Daina says. “I focus on staff happiness, timely access, increased access to whole health services, and to ultimately support the increased quality of life for folks with the most barriers and highest intensity of unmet needs.” Prior to her work at New Narrative, Daina supported outpatient clinics and the Psychiatric Security Review Board program as Clinical Director. Her extensive clinical background includes working with adults who experience SPMI, mandated adults, and youth in crisis. Additionally, she provides licensure supervision for CSWAs and acts as a consultant for SAE Behavioral Health, providing data support to those that receive grants from SAMHSA. "I fell into this field,” Daina says. “I always knew that I wanted to work with people and to support folks in living a life worth living," A main concern for Daina is the intersection between the aging population and those with SPMI. There are a variety of ways to access important resources across departments but often there are limited and inefficient ways of communicating. Daina hopes to, “support folks and really make the way various resources work together more efficient.” In the media and news, there isn’t a lot of positivity or kind regards given to folks experiencing serious and persistent mental illness. But in Daina’s team, she collaborates with a lot of people who are passionate about the populations they serve. “At New Narrative,” she remarks, “we have a coalition of folks that have true unconditional positive regard and respect for our participants.” As a member of OCEBHA’s ‘24-’25 Leadership Academy, she hopes to build a strong network of folks throughout the state who are aligned in the same goals. #LeadershipAcademy #behavioralhealth #mentalhealth #outpatientclinics #olderadults #leader #aging #geriatrics #SPMI
