Newhaven Fort has revealed plans for its new adventure playground.?? As part of the site's ongoing ￡7.5million restoration, the playground will be unveiled when the Fort reopens early next year. Designed by adventure play specialists @CAP.CO Creating Adventurous Play LTD, the playground pays homage to the Fort’s Victorian heritage. The new playground celebrates history and innovation, with lots of accessible play features. We can’t wait to see it being enjoyed by families for years to come! The Jolly Boatman is set to reopen next year! Owner Jack Idle received nearly ￡24,000 in funding from our Sites and Empty Property Fund to help bring this 19th-century pub back to life. A Lewes brewery - which will be named soon - is set to move into the pub in early 2025. Another pub in our town is great news for residents, visitors and businesses. The Sites and Empty Property Fund is open to help other businesses with grants of up to ￡25,000 to revitalise empty spaces, providing a boost to those looking to invest in Newhaven.
