This week, Sharpie? and Paper Mate? joined the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta (BGCMA) to help kids get creative with new Sharpie Creative Markers and Paper Mate InkJoy Gel Bright! Pens and pass out school supplies to help set students up for success. The event was part of the brands’ recently-announced three-year partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA), which includes multiple local club engagements and a $1 million monetary and product donation supporting enhancements to?BGCA’s arts programming. To make the day even more memorable, Sharpie’s Rookie of the Year, Michael Penix Jr., hosted a meet and greet and Q&A session with the BGCMA clubgoers. ? So when the Douglass family reached out with a seemingly impossible request for a discontinued product that helps their son Scott get the vital nutrients he needs daily, we sprung into action. Propelled by our core values of teamwork, ownership and integrity, cross-functional team members from our Home & Commercial Brand Management, Procurement, Kitchen R&D and Consumer Services teams rose to the challenge. They quickly engaged the supplier of the Rubbermaid? Litterless? Juice Box, which remolded the product and enabled us deliver almost 200 units of Scott’s favorite cup. Earlier this summer, the Coleman? team hosted the Coleman Day Camp 2024 at Meiji Jingu Gaien in Tokyo, Japan. Campers of all ages competed in fun games like tug-of-war, got creative in craft sessions, and unleashed their inner outdoor enthusiasts while engaging with products from the brand, like tents, lanterns and more. We are proud to partner with Good360, an organization that sources essential goods from some of the world’s largest corporations and distributes them through their network of nonprofits, supporting people in need around the world. In Q1 and Q2 2024, we donated nearly $200,000 of home appliances to Good360, benefiting over 30,000 people affected by disasters. These donations have reached families affected by disasters and those in need of a helping hand.?Notably, since 2022, we have donated $2.5 million in Newell products to Good360, impacting over 450,000 lives. To augment our disaster relief support, following the devastating floods in Brazil that began in April, the local team donated NUK? cups, cutlery and teethers, Coleman? coolers and lanterns and MAPA? Spontex? gloves and microfiber cloths, a donation worth nearly $65,000, to organizations including Save the Children, Instituto Elisabetha Randon, Funda??o Caxias do Sul and Instituto Colo de M?e. In addition to product donations, our teams have given back through volunteerism. For example, following the tornadoes in May in Bentonville, AR, the team organized a service day to support the community. They helped clean up debris and provided essential supplies such as water. We are grateful for our philanthropic partners who help us make an impact locally and globally through our brands.?
