A statewide affordable housing trade association that advocates for policy, legislative & budget priorities.
关于我们
Formed in 1998, the New York State Association for Affordable Housing (NYSAFAH) is the trade association for New York’s affordable housing industry statewide. Our 400 members include for-profit and nonprofit developers, lenders, investors, syndicators, attorneys, architects and others active in the financing, construction, and operation of affordable housing. Together, NYSAFAH’s members are responsible for virtually all of the housing built in New York State with federal, state, or local subsidies. NYSAFAH advocates for policies, legislation and appropriations at the local, state and federal level that promote our industry’s interests. In addition to lobbying for our industry’s agenda, NYSAFAH offers a full slate of networking and educational events, including breakfasts with featured speakers, cocktail receptions, and conferences in both New York City and upstate New York, drawing anywhere from 200 to 1,500 affordable housing professionals depending on the event. Please see the events page on our website for event registration information.

Congratulations to NYSAFAH member James Dick, CPCU, AAI on this recognition. His expertise and voice on the insurance issues facing our industry have been invaluable.
I'm honored to be recognized as a 2025 Nonprofit Power Broker by The Institutes CPCU Society Risk & Insurance Magazine. The best part of my job is being able to support mission-driven individuals like Daniel Weaver, CPA at Memphis Union Mission and John Rueger at Central Union Mission who were kind enough to speak on my behalf for this award. It's been a great first 14 years of my career with Brian Merriam, CPCU, ARM, AAI and now Gallagher. I'm thankful for the opportunity to be a small part of the risk management team for ministries and nonprofits around the country
