The New York Genome Center (NYGC) is an independent, nonprofit academic research institution focused on furthering genomic research that leads to scientific advances and new insights and therapies for patients with neurodegenerative disease, neuropsychiatric disease, and cancer. Leveraging our strengths in whole genome sequencing, genomic analysis, and development of genomic tools, the NYGC serves as a nexus for collaboration in genomic research for the New York community and beyond.

Researchers from grantee the New York Genome Center propose a framework built on blockchain that allows immutable storage, querying, and analysis of clinical and genetic data.
A breakthrough by Weill Cornell Medicine, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, and grantees New York Genome Center and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center could significantly enhance cancer care by detecting recurrence earlier and monitoring tumor response during treatment.

Genetic Alliance is thrilled to announce two more iHope laboratory partners: New York Genome Center and Mendelics! Working with CHEO/The Hospital for Sick Children these labs will allow us to bring genomic testing to hundreds of children across the globe just this year, with plans for further expansion in 2025.
