关于我们
The New York City Commission on Human Rights is charged with enforcing the Human Rights Law, Title 8 of the Administrative Code of the City of New York, educating the public, and encouraging positive community relations. The Commission is divided into two major bureaus -- Law Enforcement and Community Relations. The Law Enforcement Bureau is responsible for the intake, investigation, and prosecution of complaints alleging violations of the Law. The Community Relations Bureau helps cultivate understanding and respect among the City’s diverse communities through its borough-based Community Service Centers and educational and outreach programs.

Today NYC’s Salary Transparency Law turns 2! For the last two years, this law requiring employers to include a salary range for every job, promotion, and transfer opportunity has helped close the wage gap and create equity for job seekers regardless of race or gender. You can report a job ad that fails to disclose a salary range at?nyc.gov/HumanRights. Failing to disclose a salary range could result in civil penalties of up to $250,000. #DisplayThePay

At the Commission, we work to protect and support breastfeeding. The city's Human Rights Law ensures parents who breastfeed can carry out that choice by mandating employers provide their employees with a place and time to pump, as well as a written lactation policy. #NBM24 #Breastfeeding To learn more about lactation accommodations, visit: https://on.nyc.gov/4dtYfEo
