Last week, Pacific Gas and Electric Company's Innovation Summit brought major changemakers together for collaboration and to rally around a shared vision where AI not only makes our world more efficient but its power demands drive infrastructure investment for a cleaner, more modern net zero energy infrastructure. Here are some interesting point tidbits. ?? Patti Poppe emphasized the triple bottom line. ?? Announced a San Jose project for urban data centers where excess heat serves 4500 new housing units. (Based on a Vancouver project.) ? 15 years to permit the Golden Gate bridge and 5 years to build it ?? The duck curve is deepening. With AI we can redeploy excess energy during the day to power (and store) in EVs. ?? 3 million EVs in CA by 2030. ?? With increased demand and efficiencies energy costs to consumers (fuels, etc.) will decrease by 20-30% ?? PG&E pledges net zero by 2040 and climate positive by 2050.? ??
