Get ready to apply for the City of Pittsburgh’s Food Justice Fund Grassroots Grants! Online applications for Food Justice Fund (FJF) grassroots grants will open on Monday, March 10 with a deadline of Monday, April 14. Use the links below to register for virtual info sessions or sign up for one-on-one technical assistance. The FJF will distribute a total of $1.5Million in grants up to $75,000 each for projects serving city residents by increasing food security or strengthening the food system. Awardees will be selected in Fall 2025, and project funds must be spent by June 30, 2026. The online application, selection criteria, and guidelines on eligible expenses will be posted on the city’s website at bit.ly/PGHFJF Applicants must be a 501?3 non-profit or people represented by a fiscal sponsor, and have an annual budget of half-a-million dollars or less. Projects must provide one or more of these services: o Distributing free food/meals o Supporting community gardens and non-profit urban agriculture o Enrolling residents in public benefits (Ex.
