New Plaza Cinema has been showing independent films at an UWS townhouse since the 2018 closing of Lincoln Plaza Cinemas.

A non-profit cinema on the Upper West Side which offers independent and foreign films. Operated by devoted volunteers, New Plaza Cinema began operation in mid 2018 following the closing of the highly regarded Lincoln Plaza Cinemas. Currently, it shows films at a town house at 35 West 67th Street owned by Macauley Honor’s College, a CUNY organization.
