This award will empower the further development of their AI/ML-powered platform for detecting genetic antibiotic resistance motifs. This groundbreaking project, supported by the New Orleans BioInnovation Center and Tulane University Innovation Institute, will establish the feasibility of leveraging mutational signatures found in the DNA of bacteria to predict current and future drug resistance status.
