Today's St. Norbert College CEO Breakfast took a field trip to Fox Cities Stadium to hear from Rob Zerjav, President/CEO/Managing Partner Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. A native of Green Bay, Wis., and graduate of UW-Whitewater, Rob began his career with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers baseball club as an unpaid intern before rising to team president at the age of 27. In 2021, Rob became part owner of the team, along with his business partners Craig Dickman and Brad Raaths, and currently serves as the Timber Rattlers’ president/CEO and managing partner. Under Rob’s leadership, the Timber Rattlers have been recognized multiple times for their achievements, including being named Fox Valley Small Business of the Year, Baseball America's Single “A” Team of the Year, the Midwest League’s Organization of the Year and Ballpark Digest’s Ballpark of the Year, along with numerous Minor League Promotion of the Year awards including the Larry MacPhail Award, which is Minor League Baseball’s highest achievement for promotional excellence. The secret to his success can be boiled down to five main themes: passion, persistence, determination, perseverance and hard work. He credits the 400+ game day staff and his multiple teams for their great culture, living by example, and treating others the way they wish to be treated. "Although we know that the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers has a tremendous economic impact on our region, its so much more than that. It's about building community, making memories, bringing families together and creating a great quality of life. We are so much more than baseball." -- Rob Zerjav Next up - Rashad Cobb, COO Brown County United Way. https://lnkd.in/etp35xZE #ceo #breakfast #leadership #workplaceculture #baseball #newnorthproud

Thank you to Insight Publications and author Nikki Kallio, MFA for continuing the conversation about Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and why business leaders in our region are choosing to stay the course, despite shifting policies at the federal level. "DEI has never been about giving certain individuals an unfair advantage in the workplace. At its core, DEI is about expanding access and opportunity — ensuring that highly qualified individuals from all backgrounds are considered. DEI just ensures that those candidates have a seat at the table." --Amelia Compton Wolff Read the full story here: https://lnkd.in/guAdN5Cu #belonging #opportunities #perspectives #business #talent
