Are sex workers victims, survivors, or workers? What do sex worker movements do and how are they funded? What are some approaches that help everyone involved in the sex industry, whether by choice, circumstance or coercion? We just launched From?Do-No-Harm to Inclusion, a toolkit for funders wading through these questions and more as they develop a principled approach. Please read, use and share! The Toolkit is available here:?https://lnkd.in/ezbh3gGf.

Check out these great points - and great events coming up at CSW!
Attending the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) this year? Keep an eye out for panels with loaded phrases like “tech-facilitated sexual exploitation and abuse” or “tackling online sexual exploitation through technology.” You might even come across ‘creative’ words like “porn-criminality.” Wrapped in the language of intersectional feminism and ‘protecting women’, some of these events directly attack sex workers and adult content creators -pushing for full-scale criminalization of their work. Make no mistake: criminalization of sex work fuels systemic violence. It pushes sex workers into more dangerous conditions, and restricts their access to justice and healthcare.?By framing sex work solely as ‘exploitation’, these events deny the agency of sex workers and adult content creators, silence their lived-experiences, and undermine their human rights to safety, dignity & life. These orchestrated attacks are not just happening in Trump’s America. Anti-rights organizations globally are weaponizing narratives around ‘protecting women’ to justify attacks on the most marginalized, spread moral panic and advance their agenda of control. Enough is enough! IPPF supports the decriminalization of sex work and recognizes that this is a crucial step in respecting, protecting and fulfilling the human rights of sex workers. If you’re attending CSW, go to these events, challenge the narratives, and speak up. Silence only enables harm! ?
