NJDOL is thrilled to announce the availability of $2.5 million in grant funding as part of the fourth year of the Cultivating Access, Rights, and Equity (CARE) program. This initiative is designed to empower community organizations in New Jersey to provide essential education, outreach, and information to workers about their benefits and rights, and employers about benefits and rights, including: ??Paid Family and Medical Leave: New Jersey's Temporary Disability and Family Leave Insurance, supporting employees during life-changing events such as childbirth, illness, or recovery from domestic violence. ??Unemployment Insurance: Benefits available to those who lose their jobs through no fault of their own, providing crucial financial support during transitions. ??Wage and Hour Laws: Workers’ rights under New Jersey's labor protections, including Earned Sick Leave, minimum wage, overtime pay, and more CARE is particularly focused on supporting low-wage earners, workers of color, refugees, women, and immigrant-owned businesses.
