New Jersey’s statewide minimum wage will increase by $0.36 to $15.49 per hour for most employees, effective January 1, 2025. “Aligning the state minimum wage with any increases in the cost of living is a critical step towards economic fairness and security for all New Jersey workers,” said Labor Commissioner Robert Asaro-Angelo. “This adjustment fosters a more equitable economy and ensures our workforce can continue to thrive.” Read more here: https://lnkd.in/edHe4f2k

The New Jersey Food Council honored Labor Commissioner Robert Asaro-Angelo at their 50th?Annual “Good Government” event. The Commissioner received the Thomas W. Kelly Government Service Award, which recognizes the significant accomplishments of a regulatory leader. The award honors the memory of the highly respected Thomas W. Kelly, who served long and honorably in the state Division of Consumer Affairs, then as Superintendent of Weights and Measures. After retiring from state government, Kelly joined the Food Council as a regulatory consultant.
