New research highlights the complex role of religiosity and spirituality in adolescent suicidality. A systematic review, co-authored by NJPA members Tai West, MD, JD, RYT and Adam Sagot, D.O. FAPA, analyzed 61 studies with over 340,000 participants. Findings reveal that in most cases, religiosity and spirituality serve as protective factors against suicidality, though effects vary among at-risk groups.
