The NJHA team gathered today to learn and share on the topic of ageism and its impact in the workplace and in personal life. We’re fortunate to have NJHA’s Theresa Edelstein as a trained facilitator with the The National Center to Reframe Aging. As part of NJHA’s #HealthyWeBetterMe employee wellness program, our conversation included recognizing our society’s inherent ageist views, learning new ways of talking about aging and interacting with older adults, identifying the traps we fall into when we communicate about aging and changing the aging paradigm to one that is focused on aging as another of life’s stages filled with purpose.
