The range and capability of electrification is appropriate for trucking within 300 miles of port gateways, making the port in New York-New Jersey a good candidate as ~80% of cargo stays fairly close to the port. Read more on our blog: https://lnkd.in/gasjs6EK

looking forward to similar programs to be developed in NJ!
The Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) is a fundamental piece of California’s efforts to accelerate the transition to low and zero emission fuels as well as the buildout of convenient and accessible EV charging stations. As California prepares to vote on proposed changes to modernize its LCFS, EVgo's Manager of Market Development and Public Policy, Noah Garcia, discusses the program's benefits and the importance of sound program design to the success of transportation electrification in California: https://lnkd.in/dzg82VET

Yesterday, I joined stakeholders including Dawn Neville of PSEG and Paul Fehn and Bryan Wible of Hunter Truck at the Thomas Edison Service Area to mark a historic day for New Jersey’s electrification efforts. With perfect timing on an unseasonably warm October 31st, officials from NJ BPU, NJ DEP, environmental groups, utility representatives, and trucking companies came together to highlight the investments driving cleaner, healthier communities. With over $250 million in federal funds from the Climate Pollution Reduction Grants and great progress on infrastructure programs for medium- and heavy-duty electric vehicles, New Jersey is charging forward on the path to zero-emission freight! Leaders like Anjuli Ramos-Busot of NJ Sierra Club, and Doug O'Malley of Environment NJ underscored the impact these projects will have on air quality and community health—especially in areas disproportionately affected by diesel pollution. Special thanks to Hunter Truck for bringing the Peterbilt 579EV, and to Hermann Services, Inc. and Gabrielle for showing that New Jersey is ready for electric trucks! https://lnkd.in/gbXtfnmi

Thank you to our longtime friend and supporter Mike Hornsby and our partners Stanislav Jaracz and Andi Sjamsu at the EVA for an informative First Responder EV training event, hosted at the Princeton Junction Volunteer Fire Company #1 Inc. #1 Inc. #1 Inc. on October 22. This training provided invaluable insights for first responders, preparing them to navigate EV-related incidents with confidence. Hands-on demonstrations ensured that our teams are ready to handle the unique challenges of EVs in emergency situations. A special thank you to all the firefighters who participated and to those who brought a variety of EVs to support this vital training. Together, we’re paving the way for a safer, more informed future as EV adoption grows!
